Why should you choose Permanent Make-up?

Imagine a world in which you could go to bed without having to remove your make-up. Imagine waking up the next morning and being able to skip the daily ritual of applying lipstick or adding eyeliner to your face. You could set your alarm clock later and still wake up ready for the day with your make-up perfectly applied and in place. Does this sound too good to be true? Well, with permanent make-up these aren’t just another fantasy and its helping people like you wake up to a perfect day!

Beauty is skin deep!

Have you seen a look that has inspired you or do you have your own signature look, colour or shade? With permanent make-up you never have to part with your favourite look or spend time expertly matching colours. Very similar to tattooing, permanent make-up involves adding colour just below the top layer of skin. This adds permanent pigmentation of colour to lips, eyelids, brows and even cheeks. With permanent make-up, beauty really is skin deep!

No more reapplying

Permanent make-up means you never have to wash off or reapply your make-up and this is why many women have chosen to have the beauty treatment done. Some of the most popular treatments include permanent 3D enhanced eyebrows, eyeliner and lipstick that never smudges or comes off! There are choices of colours similar to choosing your favourite shade of lipstick or eyeliner and within 3 weeks of having the procedure your permanent look will shine through!

“In the modern world of busy, multitasking women, could this be the answer to looking your best all the time?” Our happy customers seem to think so!

Permanent make-up procedure and aftercare

We provide solid information on the pre-procedure and aftercare to let you know if you are eligible for permanent make-up and to ensure that there are no problems during your procedure, whether it’s before or after.

Pre-procedure

Once a permanent make-up procedure has been scheduled it’s important that you turn up prepared, not just for the procedure itself but for your permanent make-up aftercare too. You will have been sent / given a patch test, please complete the forms prior to the day of your appointment and if you have any questions about anything on the forms Daphne or Tanya are available on the phone to answer these.

Eyebrows

Do not tweeze, wax or tint your brows 14 days prior your permanent make-up procedure. If you use any products containing AHA’s (Alpha Hydroxy Acids), please keep away from the treatment area for 2 weeks prior to and post procedure.

Retin A (anti-aging treatments) should be avoided 1 month pre and post procedure.

Eyeliner

Do not wear contact lenses on the day of your permanent make-up procedure.

If you have had any type of eye surgery, please immediately consult Daphne to discuss whether you must wait before having your permanent make-up procedure. Generally, you must wait 6 months after your eye operation to be eligible for permanent eyeliner.

Lips

If you have had or get cold sores it’s advisable to take antiviral medication and use a cream for 3 days before and for 7 days after your permanent make-up lip procedure. For more information, please call us.

Aftercare instructions

Our aftercare instructions should be followed very closely. Aftercare is very important as not following the instructions provided may cause problems with the permanent make-up such as infections or colour fading. A healing balm will be given to you to apply to the treated area with a clean finger or cotton bud for 5 / 7 days after the procedure. Please avoid applying make-up directly to the treated area for 72 hours such as foundation and powder. If you wish to apply mascara after having an eye treatment, please purchase a new one to use, as to avoid any infections whilst they are healing. Swimming / saunas / steam room should be avoided for 1 week after your procedure.

Eyebrows

Do not wax, dye or tweeze your brows for 2 weeks after your procedure. Regular make-up can be worn but avoid the treatment area.

Eyeliner

It is recommended that you do not wear contact lenses for 24 hours after the procedure. Eyes may be swollen for a few days and may feel dry or irritated. Avoid using make-up on the eyes, mascara can be used 24 hours after the procedure – if you are using a new one.

No tinting, perming or lash extensions for 2 weeks post procedure.

Lips

Do not expose your skin to the sun if you can avoid it. The sun will cause the pigment area to fade whilst it’s still settling in. It’s recommended that you be cautious of this for 2 weeks after your procedure.

Permanent makeup - the overview

Permanent make-up procedure and aftercare

Permanent make-up has been around for a long time and is very similar to normal tattoos. The idea of permanent make-up is to replace the process of applying make-up every day. Whether you want to stop applying make-up on a daily basis and find that it is either too much work for you or you can never seem to get it perfect every time, then permanent make-up is ideal for you. There is also a number of medical conditions which may prove difficult for you to apply make-up on a daily basis or perhaps there are patches in your eyebrows after years of tweezing and shaping.
Permanent make-up is make-up that is directly tattooed onto your face taking advantage of your natural bone structure leaving you looking naturally aesthetic. Permanent make-up is applied similarly to the way tattoos are applied, except by a specialist in this area. The facial skin is much more delicate than any other part of your body and the permanent tattoos are placed very close to sensitive parts of your face such as the eyes. Daphne has decades of experience in permanent make-up working with numerous clients and has gained multiple qualifications such as the regional winner of customer excellence. With Daphne applying your permanent make-up, you will be in completely safe hands.

Does applying permanent make-up hurt?
It’s hard to judge whether or not permanent make-up will be painful for you, as this depends on your pain threshold. Permanent make-up is in essence a tattoo with a pigment-filled sterile needle so for some it may. As permanent make-up is on the face, Daphne will apply topical or local anaesthetic to where the permanent make-up is being applied. The permanent make-up ink isn’t applied as deeply as other tattoos due to the sensitivity of the face.

What are the pros and cons of permanent make-up?
Permanent make-up is permanent, so you should have it for the rest of your life or it will fade slowly. It’s advised that if you have had permanent make-up with Daphne then it’s important to follow up with aftercare sessions to ensure that no problems or issues arise. While permanent is permanent this also means that you will have your eyeliner for at least 3 years after the procedure. It’s important that you are completely happy with your permanent make-up. Daphne will provide you with her expert advice to give you the best possible permanent make-up. Although permanent make-up can be seen as an expensive treatment, the money saved on buying make-up products that need replacing often and also precious time out weighs this. You will cut back on buying other make-up products during your lifetime and may actually save money in the end run as well enjoying the freedom of enjoying permanent make-up.

Reasons to choose permanent make-up
Whilst not having the time to apply make-up on a daily basis is a perfectly valid reason for getting permanent make-up. There are also medical reasons for this. Some people have poor eyesight and this affects the make-up that they apply. Through permanent make-up you will never have to apply make-up again and will always look your best. If you have an unsteady hand applying make-up can be a tiresome task. Many women have allergies to conventional make-up so can not wear it at all. Permanent make-up is a godsend as our pigments are hypoallergenic highest pharmaceutical grade. We always patch test a client prior to procedure to make sure that the treatment can be carried out.

Permanent make-up can solve a number of problems and can make your life much easier. If you have been considering permanent make-up, then please do not hesitate to contact Daphne as soon as possible.
